I've never seen the show, but I bought this on PS5, because it got some pretty high scores. I thought it was incredibly boring. I beat it, since I had already spent the money and it was digital, but at no point did I have any fun or find it interesting. I'm not telling you it's bad. Just telling you how I felt about it. I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority on this one. I have loved just about every Telltale game. So, it takes a lot for me to not like one.

Do I need to have seen The Expanse to understand the game?
No. In fact, we wanted to make something that was the perfect on-ramp for anyone unfamiliar with The Expanse. The nice thing about this taking place prior to the events in season one of the show is that you can start fresh, but you'll obviously get even more out of the game if you've seen the Amazon Prime series.

Does The Expanse: A Telltale Series follow the books or the show?
It follows the show, you get to experience Camina Drummer's life (with Cara Gee reprising her role from the show) – and it all takes place before the events in season one.

I'll add that there's an additional DLC chapter this doesn't include that's on Steam for $4 if you ever want to play it.

So, it's my understanding that another company bought Telltale's assets (programming code, characters/graphics, etc…), and made this under the Telltale name and is also still making The Wolf Among Us 2. Telltale, as we knew it, doesn't exist anymore. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
