Ordered Z10 yesterday. Used 5% promo code after signing up for their newsletter.

So, the final deal was: $2699 - $134.95 (5%) + shipping.

How did you get the 5% newsletter sign-up?
Was it a pop-up when you went to the site, or some other way?

How long did it take to get the code after signing up? I've checked my spam and other filtered boxes but nothing for quite some time.

I have an old school Jura S9 (the one with the red LED dot matrix display) that is still kicking after 7 years of daily use. I paid $1500 for it new and I plan to run it into the ground. That said, these things are trash inside. Aside from the boiler and grinder, it is a 95% plastic mechanism. Eventually they start leaking grounds in there and before you know it, it's a moldy disaster.

Disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly is possible but not for the faint-hearted. My previous Jura from 20 years ago had a power cord recall so I got a free factory refurb out of that. At the time, for $300 or so you could also send in any working machine and they'd clean it out and bring it back to spec. I don't know if they still offer that service, though.

Plenty of 3rd-party repair/refurb companies exist but they are not cheap:

I signed up back in May and got the code within a day or so. I did not use it until now.

You said that yours was still kicking after 7 years and yet it is trash inside?

Suggest any other superauto coffee machine that is better for the price, please.

The reason Jura makes its brew units closed is specifically to prevent future leaks due to assembly/disassembly by a home user. If you want to clean brew unit yourself, get Saeco/De'Longhi/etc. and compare how long they will last before they start leaking and lose pressure.

And I will not even go into comparing coffee extraction/taste/crema part... It is on a totally different level in Jura. And I tasted espresso from Saeco, De'Longhi, Miele, Gaggia, etc.

If you want great quality coffee and quality machine that will last you forever, then get La Marzocco. You'll have to do more work, but if that's what you are after, then it will be worth it.

I am guessing this is dead? I am seeing $3,299 for the Z10.

I have the E8 held for pickup at Best Buy for $1599, but I would spend the extra $$$ for the cold brewing function!

I did not get a code either. Just the mailing list confirmation and a "Welcome to Jura" email, lol.

Same boat. Kind of kicking myself for not getting the Z10. E8 still sitting in the box.

I bought refurb J90 refurb about 10 years ago for $1k while the new unit was $3k. Machine came in like new condition with just a few coffees on the counter. Now after about 5k coffees I have an extra brewing unit that I swap for cleaning every 6 months or so. That brewing unit after a while gets nasty and I can't imagine how bad it could be without any maintenance.
