It's not just that the 13/14th gen are having issues. Some repair shops are saying half of the RTX4090's will need to be repaired at some point. I tried to warn slickdeal viewers, but they said to 'see a therapist', or this PC is fine, or worse, the entire thread was removed by someone or some bot.

As part of the demand, we NEED to realize when new parts are being released, how reliable parts are, and what alternatives exist to online stores.

4090s? I thought it was the intel i9 xx900ks that are having possible issues.

Nvidia RTX 4090s are having issues as well. If you have the old connector, it's a fire hazard if not plugged in completely. If you have the new connector, it'll only survive for 30-40 matings, so it's not good for testing. Also, some folks are having display stream and other general driver issues.

Anyway, new CPUs are coming out in August, so you don't have to get an i9, and AMD and Nvidia have other GPUs with fewer problems people can buy too.

Update, 13900ks are defective. In fact game dev Alderon Games said 100% are defective.
