I'm not certain that information is published publicly, selling ROMs IS illegal after all. 😉

Better off adding your own game roms so you have a single handheld to play copies of all the games you own 😉

it is made for millennials who remember playing NES to Playstation 1 games, can do some Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast games but not all

pretty much fun retro stuff from 1980s to 1996 to 2000 roughly for the "big consoles", and lots of those game boy and game boy advance games. Fabulous games for a 10 year old like the Pokémon addiction.

But it is no Nintendo Switch

Geekbuying will probably ship your order. But if they are out of stock, they'll just keep lying to you until they eventually get it back in stock.

Eventually I cancelled my order after they lied to me for three weeks straight.

It'll play a whole lot of older games for free but not much in the last 10 years and pretty much nothing from the Switch.
Can these types of consoles handle Gamecube games at all?

Despite the smaller screen and smaller battery, is this better than x55 in performance?

It's highly unlikely that they'll run out of stock on this as it just released and isn't high on demand, especially since trimui smart pro with a bigger screen and same form factor is cheaper by about $10 -$15

From RetroGameCorps on YouTube:

RG40XX has a bigger screen, and more ergonomic shape
RG35XX has better controls (DPAD and sticks)
TrimUI Smart Pro is more powerful and better for modern/16:9 games

Is this like a generic Nintendo switch? How does it compare? I'm kinda broke right now and want to buy my 10 year old kid a handheld game console.
These are for older games and consoles don't think a 10 yr old would enjoy it. Better off buying them a tablet to watch youtube and play more recent mobile games

not really
  • Tier 2 consoles chips with the T610, T618, Dimensity D900, Snapdragon 845 chips can sometimes run Gamecube games well but not always
  • Tier 3 console chips with the Unisoc T820, Dimensity 1100, Dimensity 1200, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips often can run Gamecube games well but even then some games are weird
  • Tier 4: Steam Deck and Beyond

well now a days Tier 2 consoles are in the $100 to $150 plus price range

and Tier 3 are in the $200 plus price, and Tier 4 are $350 plus price. Well Tier 3 price range is also the price for a new Switch / Switch Lite so you could just buy one of those and then buy the gamecube games for your switch.

This the model with battery issues on retrogamercorps channel?
I believe the model that's been getting a few reports of battery issues is the RG35XXSP (the clamshell unit that looks like a bigger version of the Game Boy Advance SP).

According to Retro Game Corps, the issue has only affected less than a handful of reported units thus far, the problem being that the battery has overheated since it sits right above the processor.

That last statement is kind of false in that anything with a wide screen format is better on TSP, including psp, Dreamcast with wide screen hack, and even GBA which is wider than 4:3 SNES and the alike. GBA and PSP on TSP is quite amazing. I have the PSP ips and 3k and the vita and TSP crushes all of them in terms of visual clarity. It is a bit choppy here and there on some games, though, but wow, I'm amazed by the screen on TSP.

If you want gamecube at an affordable price, just buy a used phone or one of those free phone promos that are always running and buy a telescopic controller. BSP D3 if you want something cheap, BSP D8 or the base gamesir x2s if you want something a bit more expensive.
