Take videos and pictures of your device - I almost got played by them. I've traded in 6-7 devices to Samsung; on my Fold4 I traded for a S24U, they said the screen was cracked after receiving the device. I had to call in, send pictures and video, after which they pulled the "unboxing video" and confirmed it was an error on their end and reissued the full credit. I had always read about it on Reddit, however I got to experience it first hand. Take video of the powering down, showing no damage, packing it (have this all ready ahead of time), and handing it to the Fedex rep in a continuous cut. This made a difference.

YMMV on the AMEX Offer: Spend $1000 on samsung.com get 10,000 points. Not everyone is getting that offer, but check your cards. The extra 15,000 points is from that you know cash back site. Instead of getting cash back (currently at 15%) you can opt to get Amex points instead. Hence combined is 25,000 MR points.

Samsung becomes greedy (again). They should to have almost free upgrade from s22u to s23u. Now you have to buy s24u with full price, and no option of trade-in. Well, I'll just hold for my current s22u.

Same from S23U lol. Problem is trade-in values will get worse. Need a deal within $100-200 over reselling price of S23U before I jump. This deal is about equivalent to reselling S23U at the student price (trade in for $750 and pay $450+ = $450 cost or buy for $880 and sell phone for $450 = $430 price). Whoever is pricing is doing a good job of actively watching used phone prices and basing program off that. I guess they figure phone market has enough demand to try to get $400-500 for yearly upgrades. Yearly upgrades don't provide $400-500 in value (and 2 years not $300/yr on S22U trade, 3 years not $216/yr on S21U trade) IMO.

tbf, the guy/people running pricing those 2-3 years was a moron. iirc, Samsung already had a large market share and I'm not sure they increased it much. It had to severely eat into their profits. I was happy to make thousands from trade-ins.

The current watch deals are similar'ish to the old phone deals where they are trying to push the product more to larger audience and reward early adopters with high TIV. The stacking discounts on phones/tablets/buds/watches was ludicrous with how much of a discount you could get.

Same here. I used the stupid $50 with the Samsung app offer on that purchase. I saw this offer yesterday. It is funny that it is not another $200 off because when you add it, the price goes down by $160. It adjusts the edu discount. Reported it to Samsung last night, but of course, they don't give a "". Any other way to get the $50 app discount?

I thought about that, but I just have the edu discount tied to one account, and the overpriced Fold has already shipped. Can I tie the edu discount to another account that doesn't have an edu email address?
