This one doesn't seem to be affected. It's not the Extreme series and the part number doesn't match the ones affected.

Yeah, I didn't see it posted, but was glad to find one cheaper than the newer model. I mentioned the 12/2023 price in my post and linked to the discussion.

I've looked into this. The Extremes are the ones impacted, not this model.

This drive is straight up trash, fails within the year. Samsung t7s are the way to go!

Is the drive compatible with MacOS? From my understanding, I would just need to reformat but how easy would that be

I have used it for over a year. It is a speedy and efficient external SSD. These got expensive in 2024 but this price sounds good.

For macOS you just use Disk Utility (built into Mac) to format any drive. If you're not sure how to use it there are a bunch of YouTube videos that go through it step by step. And yes this drive can be formatted on for Mac.

In for 1 as an external drive for my (kids') XBox One S.

Time to see how much faster games load from a USB external SSD than from the internal hard drive.
