Is the drive compatible with MacOS? From my understanding, I would just need to reformat but how easy would that be
For macOS you just use Disk Utility (built into Mac) to format any drive. If you're not sure how to use it there are a bunch of YouTube videos that go through it step by step. And yes this drive can be formatted on for Mac.
