Torn between the 2x 1.7 or 2 5.0 power stack. The home DIYer needs in me just a few extra batteries so 1.7s ($22 pAH} will be fine but the slickdealer in me says 5.0 bc the cost $15 per AH is lower. Hmmmm

Or get the 1.7 + 5.0 and charger combo and try to sell the charger for $20. As is $16 or $13 sell the charger. Think this is the way similar cost and get one of each size.

Really amazing deal. Just yesterday I got my starter kit with 2 batteries, charger & bag. Needed it for my Dyson adapter for V10 absolute. I guess the one from Amazon will be going back, nearly $50 price difference!

I was torn between the 1.7ah and 5.0ah powerstacks two-pack as well, but the slickdealer in me went with the 1.7ah two-pack and saved $80

The powerstacks are not reliable, just look at the reviews. I do think the 2x 5Ah XR starter kit is a great value though. The bag and charger are worth $30.

I've had powerstack batteries for a year+, working at a manufacturing plant, have no issues so far with them.. 🤷🏽 they are used almost on a daily basis. They do need to be charged more often than the XR ones I have.

Just take a look at the XR Reviews vs Powerstack 5Ah reviews on Amazon. 4.4 vs 4.8 stars. Is a huge difference. A lot of people have the powerstacks just go dead on them and won't take a charge. I've had the regular 5's for 6 years no issues.

My favorite pack is the 4Ah slim packs which use 21700 cells, bought several in the past for $40 a pack.

The reviews range from 4.4 to 4.7 for the powerstacks and 4.2 to 4.8 stars for the XRs so that argument is not very valid. Also I've had a 1.7 and a 5ah for close to 2 years and running strong still. I say this is a great deal.

I was comparing the price difference between the two-pack 1.7 powerstack and the two-pack 5.0 powerstack. The regular 5.0 XR's was not in the thought process, as I have plenty of them (several of which are dead with limited usage). So I was debating which powerstacks to give a try since my XR's are dying for no apparant reason.

The dual 6ah battery pack is a good choice. Torque test channel has a good comparison video on them. 6ah has more power and is cheaper but slightly bigger.

Yeah I have now also decided the 9ah 20/60v dual pack at fastnersinc for $234 shipped is better "overall" so I have them in cart debating the purchase of those plus the dual 1.7 here.

I don't really need more 20/60v batters as the 2 I have now at enough and they are rather bulky for small needs. Having more smaller batteries is handy to me.

I split the difference and went with the 1x 1.7 and the 1x 5.0. Think it was $16-17 pAH
