I'd avoid Hershey's cacao powder (and most other brands'). They have repeatedly tested positive for Lead and Cadmium: https://advocacy.consumerreports....-products/

A good brand with very low levels of heavy metals is Navitas: https://www.amazon.com/Navitas-Or...00CEOOZK6/
The best place to buy Navitas is Costco B&M for $9 for a 2 pound bag right now.

Would require sweetener and cream for most people. I've made hundreds of peanut butter iced mochas with this, peanut butter powder, very hot cream, sweetener, and espresso. Mix well and make it strong, add ice, mix more, and it's a milkshake flavored coffee. 😁

Costco rarely sells cocoa powder. They used to sell a brand with real Dutch cocoa imported from Holland, but that was a long time ago. It had the best flavor of any cocoa I've ever had, but it didn't dissolve well at all. Recently, Sam's club stopped selling Hershey's cocoa and now they only sell bags of a brand called "My Green Farm" in the same 23 oz size. It's not horrible, but I prefer the flavor of Hershey's. Prices have skyrocketed and this new brand is cheaper. The last time I purchased the 23oz boxes of Hershey's from Sam's Club was in April for $10.98, so this is a better deal from Amazon. It wasn't that long ago that I paid less than $8 for 23oz Hershey's. The My Green Farm bags are $7.58 each.

My experience has been that Costco always has some form of Cacao. It usually carries Hershey's in business center, and other brands in normal Costco. I have never seen Made in Holland cocoa at Costco or other places for that matter, though they may sell dutch-process cocoa. Speaking of taste, Costco has a yummy starbucks brand Cocoa mix: https://www.costco.com/starbucks-...71096.html
It is kinda expensive. I usually wait for Macy's to clear their new year stuff and pick up a can of their hot cocoa.

Do yourself a favour, a very big favour, and buy the Ghirardelli dutch cocoa instead for $2-3 more.

Most recent study from Tulane University countered this study and said the good things in dark chocolate outcompete the bad things. I'm oversimplifying. The study is very lengthy and extensive..

They assumed one ounce per day consumprion of chocolate. It can easily be exceeded with all the things that have cacao in them(and everything else in our lives that has Lead and Cadmium!). Anyway, why take the risk, when it can be avoided? (Especially for children)
