I have a similar device from another brand, Rachio. I use it as a valve to fill my pool. This one is half the price of the Rachio ($99 for 2 valves). So it's worth a try I think
For the price yeah I'd say it's worth a try but Rachio is a respected brand in the business while this is just another no-name chinese product so that's ultimately where the price difference is coming into play.
Personally I recently decided to take a chance on the Hubspace 2 valve unit at Home Depot for $50. It's a relatively new contender into the automation space but I figured there would be less risk of it going obsolete if backed by a big name and I didn't want to spend $100 on the Rachio unit. The thing that drove me away from a single valve unit is that I didn't want to have to buy a splitter. I couldn't find a high quality splitter that didn't have stamped pieces and when these shut they shut hard. I'm worried they will pop the splitter at some point when I'm not around to notice.
I've been using one that looks very similar and it's been working very well. Just be mindful that the gateway needs to be installed somewhat close to the timer (I had it plugged into a wall socket inside the building that's about 20 ft away from the timer outside) and it's been working fine.
I did not bought this but after buying many many timer, I have to say that all of them need time test, they are under sun and rain 100% of the time so electrical parts need to be protected very well, this might not last 1 season.
I bought this last time it was on sale and already returned it. Linking to smart devices is a nightmare and I never did figure out how to set a simple routine on the app. Ended up with a non smart one and it's been working fine

I have both models (1 & 2 outlet ) and I haven't had one issue with either. I've controlled them from 300 miles away. I've seen Fakespot reviews for items sold in the 10's of thousands with low Fakespot numbers yet people keep buying and continue to give those products high reviews. Fakespot isn't the be all or end all in regards to reviews.
I bought one a month ago. Seems to be working well so far. The unit seems well made, brass joints , good insulation etc. The rachio was three times the price so I took a chance. Not disappointed so far.
Looks like a great price. I just received by Orbit B-hyve that I bought on Amazon, haven't really used it yet but just set it up no problem and the app looks great so far. It also integrates with Home Assistant. I looked up this brand and couldn't find any integrations, although I did see something with their lights through Tuya. The Orbit was $58, will probably stick with that one for now but may look into this in the future. I'm a little hesitant to install the offbrands given that a failure would potentially result in flooding/tons of water.
I bought this for deterring deer from eating my ivy. It did a great job. The noise alone will scare animals away. It also had the unintended consequence of soaking the gardener.
While I would generally agree, even the brand name Orbit version I bought recently has plastic outlets, and it works perfectly fine. Not as durable over the long-term, I'm sure, but they work. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Orbit-...8/27967404

Rachio valves are on sale in Costco stores, 2 for $100.

Tired of having to manually turn my timer off for the sprinklers when rain is coming. I have the old analog one on my spigot valve.
