Thank you, op. Just ordered from kohls with 40% coupon. The final price is $218 including tax with $40 kohls cash and $10 kohls rewards that could be used later. Awesome. Another 2% from Cashback website and 3% using PayPal master card.
I have a 700USD Zojirushi rice cooker imported from Japan. I used it every other day and expected it to last 10 years. I would say it's a good invest

Got the Zojirushi NW-QAC10 back in February as an "excellent" condition warehouse deal for $190. Pretty sure it was brand new and someone just regretted the price. It is excellent. I bought it to replace my Zojirushi NP-HBC10 that I have had since 2013 (Still worked, I gave it away). Well worth the price. The new one will hold Basmatti rice for over 72 hours and it's still good...though not recommended. I don't know of any other way to keep rice good for that long.

Was able to get Kohl's price to even cheaper to $187+tax by stacking 15HOME as a coupon code for additional 15% off.

Subtotal: $363.50
Kohl's Cash & Promos: $178.12
15HOME -$54.53
LNQQRCKD37NFK -$123.59
Shipping: FREE
Tax: $17.84
Total $203.22

IMO, this is FP worthy at this price! Great find OP!

I'm still rocking my 5.5cup Tiger induction (made in Japan) that I bought through slickdeals over 8 years ago. It's used quite a bit as there are 6 of us in the house. Still works great. I don't think you can go wrong with either brand.

The 10 cup model is pretty massive and there are tons of hacks for what you can do with it.

Pasta cooking is definitely possible, for instance.

But if you're strictly about rice, get the smaller model. The bigger models are less consistent. Better to make two perfect batches than one big crappy batch.

Bought a $550 flagship Zojirushi 12 years ago and it never died. The removeable lid cracked from wear and tear but I replaced it for $35.

Earlier this year bought their new $700 flagship from Kohls for $400 and I expect it to last just as long. Zero rice quality improvements honestly, just a more modern appearance.

The USA models are like 5 years behind their Japanese models. Their Japanese models uses multiple induction coils to spin the rice around that simulates wood cooking. Probably does nothing but it's cool nonetheless.
