1. That's a massive laptop. I've seen only 1 in the wild at an airport lounge. Not only is it ridiculous looking in person due to size, it's super heavy. I wouldn't expect to take it anywhere unless you're ready to lug it around
2. I don't know why, Alienware refuses to provide good screen options. These IPS display is a roll of the dice for screen bleeding. There are quite a few people on reddit that returned it due to this.

Truly desktop replacement. Not sure why someone would be using it at an airport.

TEN pounds with the power adapter.

OLED would be a thought for the screen, but I don't believe there are any OLED laptop screens with VRR?

It's really not that big if you're an above average sized man. I wish so bad it was a 20"-er. It also doesn't feel heavy, I take it room to room all day long and it's effortless. I do wish the power adapter was inside of the case with just a retractable cable you plug into the wall that sits flush when not in use

You're crazy, this screen is AMAZING. It seems to show colors I don't see on my office monitors or Samsung Frames. I work in an office with very heavy daylight all day and on max brightness it's more than bright enough. I'm sure the nits aren't as high as the higher nit screens but those hurt your eyes if you put them anywhere near max brightness imo

It's really not that big or heavy man. The huge advantage this has is that there's a good little distance between the bottom portion with the keyboard and where the screen starts, so it puts it up higher into a more ergonomic position, closer to your eyes. I wish they made a version without the Alien head though

OLED would be so amazing

I'd love a UHD+ resolution, but the 1600p one on it is a pretty great fit too

A person would be using it at an airport so they have a computer on their trip? Is it that confusing?

Everyone claiming this is too big or heavy is getting ahead of themselves, it's easy to carry one-handed and I regularly use it on my chest while lying down on my couch

It's really not a big deal unless you're maybe older or frail. Picture yourself grabbing a 10 lbs. dummbell at the gym. If you think that's heavy... might be time to get yourself a mac

Well, the idea here is that normally, you're carrying this laptop PLUS other things in your backpack. This can quickly add when traveling or commuting to be 30lbs plus. I consider myself a strong dude, but back in the day when gaming laptops were as heavy, my traps would be sore 30 mins in carrying these monsters (I originally had a AW Area 51m R1). Not to mention, you need to invest a big backpack to fit this. Which aren't many options that don't look gamery.

Why does it have to be 10 pounds, when the Razer equivalent is 7-8 pounds (with power adapter)?

As someone who used to fly 100k miles a year prior to COVID, I will tell you that trying to bust out an 18" laptop in a cramped airport lounge isn't ideal, let alone on a plane itself.

Not a bad deal but the 13th and 14th gen i9s are having a lot of issues and intel won't seem to acknowledge it so I'd be cautious.

I imagine some kind of material cost savings, seems like the Razer equivalents can be as much as twice as expensive

Makes sense. I really wish they'd bring back somethign like the M2010, that shiz was incredible when I was in college and I'd pay any price for it nowadays. By far the most usable and functional computing device I've ever owned

At least it's more portable than a desktop for those LAN get togethers.
