They absolutely give care about someone returning equipment that is worth hundreds of dollars. I've never told anyone on here to mind their business so your hypocrisy comment means nothing to me.
Don't abuse the great policies of companies. So few companies have stuff like this anymore and you abusing raises the chances it gets eliminated.

As it stands, old stuffy people on SD like to tell everyone to mind their own business when it comes to what they agree with but seldom applies back to them when it doesn't. hypocrisy at its best.

I said mind your business, plain and simple. So, again, mind your business.

For example, L.L. Bean offered a lifetime warranty on their products for decades. But so many people abused it, by "returning" boots they bought at a thrift store or had worn out over decades, that they discontinued the policy.
REI also used to offer a lifetime warranty on their products, for decades, no questions asked. But too many people abused it by, for instance, buying their snowboard gear for the year in December and returning it at the end of the season in April. Or, most commonly, by buying $thousands of mountaineering gear for a single trip and returning it all when the trip was over. Now the warranty is 1 year, period.
Costco is one of the few places left that has a good warranty policy, where I can return something if it breaks or just doesn't work very well. People who deliberately abuse it by buying things they know they'll use for a while and then return place that in danger. Even worse, they raise EVERYONE'S prices and membership fees by doing so.
