It is a good lesson, and one that is frequently repeated in Samsung phone trade in threads - ALWAYS record yourself testing and packing a trade in device for Samsung. Upon your almost certain denial, just hop into live chat and offer to share the video - odds are that the rep will immediately credit you.

Just an FYI. I traded in galaxy tab for the same laptop 2 months ago and Samsung rejected the trade in saying it's broken/cracked. I was 100% in senses when I sent the trade in to Samsung and was well packaged and also had a hard case on it. Now I cannot fight with Samsung saying I sent a clean tablet.
Not going to ship a trade in again. Learnt my lesson.

Update - called Samsung because this post reminded me lol.
Explained the situation. Customer rep looked into the videos and pictures of the trade in their side and confirmed the trade in was received in perfect condition. Getting my $100 back for trade in. Finally! Thanks for this post OP

This is a scam they pull. They're hoping you don't call them up. I've done 40+ trade ins with samsung and probably have had 7 or so that didn't qualify. Most of which, with certainty did not have the issue they claimed. I called them up and they proceeded with the trade in every time.

They received it today. I have yet to hear from them. You want to make sure you take the video of trade in device for evidence. If trade in does not go through we can talk to samsung csr and let them know about the proof you have. They will manually add the credit. The buyer from whom I got the device from ebay has no device in stock. We can find refurbished devices on ebay in between $50 to $60.

This isnt a gaming laptop. The iGPU is fine for playing games at low settings but if you want a real gaming laptop you need a laptop with a discrete GPU (typically Nvidia in laptops)

Good stuff. Waiting for my mini 2 to be evaluated as well from last deal. It was delivered today. If you must have the Samsung ecosystem, recommend the 4 Pro. I haven't experienced any screen crack on my 13.3"-14" Samsung laptops. I do believe larger screen are at higher risk of screen crack. Samsung laptops isn't best when it comes to thermal but you will live, the screen is a delight to look at along with the build quality, not a tank like the Dell XPS line but mini tank in my opinion since is much lighter.

fyi, if u plan to keep it to use. u CANNOT bypass the windows login. the usual trick doesnt work; it basically force you to get online and sign in else it stays on the home screen
