I have an online card shop on eBay and sell sports, Pokemon and occasionally Lorcana as a semi-involved side hustle and hobby. I say "occasionally" Lorcana because they don't move. Values have dropped slightly I would say but there just isn't much interest in the base and foil cards. Value is mostly in the "enchanted" cards which are extremely rare. Of those enchanted, the value is character dependent with only a few of them selling for more than the cost a box of Lorcana. I have opened several hobby boxes (7ish) like these and not seen one myself. I will say this is as cheap as I have seen them but I would still not buy them unless you are interested in just playing the game and not as an investment. The Lorcana community is relatively niche and I would not expect these to continue to be popular unless something changes. If it was selling well, I do not think they would be on sale like this. They were hot when they first released but I see them available in quantity pretty frequently nowadays......FWIW

At this price, I would have to assume the packs have been weighted and/or resealed.

Some of the reviews show scalped and opened packs. I guess you could always return them if they were opened.

Lorcana is about to release its 5th set next month. This discounted set is #3 and there's not too many cards from here that's either in current competitive meta or a valued enchanted.

The four forementioned cards are still being played and sought after.

There are rarer cards or expensive cards, yeah, but for regular non-players like us, there are tons of cards which have no value, but the artwork is hilarious, like Alice, Tea Alchemist or Rafiki Mystical Fighter. There's lots of cards which have artwork that don't occur in the movies at all. One of the previous releases has Cinderella Stouthearted, which is her in a knight costume holding a magical sword.

You could just buy the singles cheap, but getting a bunch of duds probably doesn't matter to people like us, as long as the cards look cool.

It would have done them better to produce these similar to MTG, but instead, they just turned on the printing press after telling everyone they would be limited. A lot of people expected multiple marked print runs. But now, who knows how much of the product was made. It's all single series and continues to be printed.

At least buying it from Ravensburger store on Amazon pretty much ensures you have a sealed, unsearched box. They're the company producing the cards. I've wanted to shelf a box or two of each booster box, but doubt it'll hold long value with production.

But for this price, it's almost a no brainer at almost 2 for 1.

Buy these from your LGS for peace of mind. The countless horror stories of people buying TCG's from Amazon is crazy. Forking over an extra 20-30 bucks is worth it in my eyes. If there isn't one near you, buy on TCG Player.
