I'm guessing these budget type couches aren't good for daily lounging for tv and gaming. Or maybe a futon in similar price range

Not sure about the sofa, but "Buttonless Tufting" would be a great character name for, say, a Victorian novel.

That is likely where my 240 lbs would end up if I plop down on this thing. 450 lbs weight limit means spread across the whole couch. Don't like my odds.

I would stay away from the cheaper sofa/couch combos. I have a very similar one I bought from walmart and the left side seat collapsed in. Still usable, just feels like you're sitting in a small hole.

Got one of these cheap couches once. Every time I sat down it was like sitting on a park bench with a towel on it. It was deceptive in that you thought you were sitting on a couch so your spine got this hard jolt when you didn't expect it, kind of like missing a step and jolting your knee. You'd sit for a few minutes and it was like injecting pain in your body. I'd get off and sit on the floor that had a carpet and padding and just use this as a backstop until I could get rid of it. This may not be as bad, but I paid more for my torture couch than this.
