Leather under $30? Worth a shot regardless. Anyone familiar with the similarly priced black pair? Maybe I'll grab those too.

I was about to buy but several comments mention they run a little small and the next size up is unavailable.

Do enjoy this style more but that sole looks terrible. Even the reviews on the site mention how poor it is

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

the quality of leather of this brand is questionable. i picked these up earlier in the year:
https://slickdeals.net/f/17287741-crown-vintage-leather-chukka-30

on first use, the leather cracks heavily at the toebox joint. the crack goes in quite deep. i dont expect them to last very long. i waxed the area very well. hopefully it might last a year, if that. makes me think this is made of cardboard instead of leather.

Wax will make the issue worse, it dries out leather. You want to be using a proper conditioner or oil to moisturize the leather.

That said I would never waste money on a low quality pair of boots. If you want boots, save up and get proper leather boots from a reputable brand. They'll last you 20 years of cared for properly.

What brands would you recommend? I have had red wing boots for my work boots which are 9 years old at this point and still kicking (with probably 33% of that time being in the field full time). I am now back in the office and need something a bit dressier.

The sole just fell off my redwings as I was working. Terrible! Otherwise great leather quality.

I have a pair of Florsheim chukka style shoes which I've had for over 6 years. The quality is great, and they've gotten more comfortable over time. They also sent me a brand new pair when the soles on the first pair wore out quicker than I expected.
