I bought these exact models before and had issues with most of them. I ended up replacing with all Zeskit ones and the flickering and lack of dolly support disappeared. This was with Apple TV paired with lg c2

No, I think the 48gbps are HDMI 2.1.

The HDMI forum is playing loosey goosey with the definition of 2.1. HDMI 2.1 includes 18gbps cables now because anything that was HDMI 2.0 is now 2.1.

I have the Amazon basics HDMI cables on many devices and don't notice any lag and haven't had one fail yet. Though I did buy them a few years ago so it's possible the quality has gone down since then

These will generally work fine for 2K monitors and 1080p TVs. Good, cheap signal cable for older devices like my PS3, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch that only output 1080p as well.

If you actually read the reviews everyone says they suck. So take that 4.7 with a grain of salt.

As someone who finally updated his receiver to properly bridge the nvidia shield and a brand new TV (was just running the nvidia shield at 1080p as the old receiver could only do 4k30 passthrough) I'd really recommend only buying ultra high speed HDMI cables going forward to avoid any potential headaches.

I was getting occasional blanking for a brief moment here and there and was swapping cables, playing with settings. I thought you only needed "fast" hdmi cables for 4k. But then I dug into and realized that is for 8 bits per color channel. Well the nvidia shield had turned on Dolby Vision which I guess is a crazy 12 bits per channel (Is there a TV that can display the difference between 10 bit and 12 bit I wonder??? 10 bit is already a billion colors).

I turned off Dolby Vision and was still getting the issue, finally upgrading the 2 cables in the chain to ultra fast HDMI solved my problems. I'm guessing with all the equipment new enough they were connecting at higher speeds than my cables could handle.

TL;DR To avoid pulling the "wrong" cable out of the HDMI bin, I will not be adding any cheap/slow cables to my home to avoid potential headaches from an under spec'd cable not quite able to handle the signal or bandwidth. Cables are cheaper than my time.

Do not buy. Low speed and nothing but issues if you are running things like PS5 or PC to TV that supports higher refresh rates as these are not 2.1 compatible.

And when you go to grab from a bin and can't troubleshoot as they all look same. Just asking for trouble. Just stay away from.

No way this should be on FP. You will eventually regret this purchase.

Get a 48bit cable for gaming. You want the highest fps possible, and this cable is your bottleneck. The HDMI cable that came with your X is a very good quality cable.
