PD 7.5w is kinda joke but I guess it's not really that main features about this monitor. Besides that, these still seems like best monitor unless you want to spend extra 100 for 240hz qhd monitors.

I wonder if that is enough for general browsing on something like an M1 Macbook

It would be around not losing power to barely charging on browsing and probably bit faster if it's on clamshell (screen shut). Shouldn't be too much problem if you're just occasionally plug in your macbook every once in a while, but I'd get a 4k 60hz monitor with proper pd if you're planning to only use it as macbook monitor

There is this ProArt PA278CGV: 1440p, 144 Hz and 90W PD.

I bought this monitor back in April for 230$. For games it is fantastic. It's perfect for me to switch between PC, Xbox, and PS4. The colors out of the box are stunning.

For office work, it's okay. It's not the sharpest, but it's a fine tradeoff if you want one good, fairly priced monitor for both. The only annoying part is the lack of two hdmi ports but I bought a HDMI switcher to solve that issue.

Looks like there have been a couple of releases on this line since the XG27AQ.

I've had the XG27AQ since April 2022. I bought two of these XG27ACS units as upgrades on other systems. I've been super impressed with the XG27AQ and happy with the performance in gaming. The biggest difference from what I can tell that I think might be noteworthy for desktop gaming would be the "Brightness (Typ.) : 350cd/㎡" versus the XG27AQ that lists "Brightness (Typ.) : 400cd/㎡". I'm not sure what that means since both units list "Brightness (HDR, Peak) : 400 cd/㎡" but at this price I can't imagine I will be disappointed. I know the XG27AQ is old tech now but I paid more than double this price for the XG27AQ more than a couple of years ago.
