When concerned about this, I usually put the name of the company that I'm signing up for in the first name field. That way I have a "paper trail" of who sold my info (i.e. Fname: JohnClarks Lname: Smith). Hope that helps...

It's been about 10 years since I bought all of mine, but all of the "un" shoes had significantly better quality/comfort than the standard Clarks shoes. Not sure if that might still be the case. I still have all of mine - about 10 pairs but I don't wear them often now that I work from home. I'll never get rid of them.

Clark's Unstructed is my favorite. I bought a few pairs in years. And 4 pairs in same style, not this one though. It is comfortable, durable and breathable. Much better than hundreds of dollars dress shoes.

The only complaint is squeezing noise when walking on certain anti slippery floors.

I got gifted these last year (surprisingly in my size too). They are comfortable, but they make a clacking sound when you walk on hardwood. The leather also debonded from the sole after like 30-40 wears (only use them for my sunday best), but a little epoxy and they're functional again
