This is an absolutely beautiful classic. No shame in the base 5600.

Lots of options to dress it up in stainless, gold, etc for cheap.

There aren't too many better ways to spend $28.30. Squares are the best and most classic G-Shock watches. Just be aware that it's hard to own just one. Or two. Or even twenty.

My logic is that IF the battery does need to be replaced earlier than usual well that's a perfect excuse to modify the watch with aftermarket stuff while it's apart for a new battery. ⌚

Changing batteries is annoying. When I have these watches the batt goes out and I can never get the energy to go change it so it just sits there for years. I like this watch though.

You were buying them fake, most likely. Same as armani, nike, etc those are very lucrative to fake.

I bought this same old school, basic G-Shock for $32 on Amazon a couple of months ago and I thought it was a hell of deal at that price. At Woot's price, it's a steal.

I have several Casios, love the brand as they are great bang for buck watches. But the cheaper resin watches just aren't as nice or sturdy as this OG G-Shock. As others have said, this watch is damn near indestructible. You won't find a better everyday beater watch, period.
