Power Equipment Direct has the Champion 201176 tri-fuel inverter generator for $1205.55 on ebay with free shipping.

9000 W (Starting)/ 7250 W (Rated) when using Gasoline
9000 W (Starting)/ 6525 W (Rated) when using Propane
9000 W (Starting)/ 5875 W (Rated) when using Natural Gas

This inverter generator is more expensive than the popular non-inverter Costco Firman trifuel 9400/7500 that regularly goes on sale for $800. Inverter generators produces cleaner power (though the usefulness of clean THD is heavily debated) and more fuel efficient when the generator is at low loads.

This Champion generator also has especially good starting watts on natural gas compared to the Firman. The Champion has 9000w starting vs the Firman's 6900w starting on NG.

It usually sell for $1400. $1205 with FS is very good.

Not a good deal.

However any deal IS GOOD DEAL if you need it at that moment in time (even it's MSRP)

Thanks! I am in for one! I need to cancel my order for the Firman one on sale last week at Costco. This one looks better (though more expensive) in every way. I am hoping this one is quieter as well as more fuel efficient

It is a great generator, ran like a champ for multiple days straight after Beryl. I only stopped it for a few minutes to change the oil.

It ran my 3 ton AC with a soft starter without any issue.

Do you think this would run's 4 ton with a soft starter on natural gas?

I think it will start and run a 4 ton ac, but that doesn't leave a ton of head room for other things. I would recommend one with more running watts.

How is it not a good deal? Have you seen it for much less (the lowest I have seen is 1180 so just a hair under this price)? Can you name a better deal on a tri-fuel inverter with at least this much power for less? If the answer to those 2 questions are no then it is a good deal.
For the sake of discussion, let's not talk about gas models that you have to convert to NG. Many people are not comfortable with doing that.
When it came out last year, it was around $1600. If it was this price then, I would have bought this instead of the Costco firman. Inverter gens not only provide cleaner power but they are quieter. The Firman is LOUD. This model also weighs significantly less than the Firman.

This is normally about $1400, so especially now when generators are in short supply after the Beryl disaster in Houston, to get this for $200 off is pretty decent! It says they only have six left having sold 18 already. I'm going for something a bit bigger myself, but if this has been on your radar at $1400, now might be the time to pick it up.

This model rarely goes on sale, it is a good deal. There are not many inverter options if you want to run NG and this is probably the best one out there at the moment.

A days and half later and it says: 6 available, 24 sold
Not sure if they are playing with numbers here or what.
I'm about to order this one over the $800 Costco Firman deal last week too.

I think I am backing out. I really want this generator and the price is reasonable.
The issue is I think this is the same company as Electric Generators Direct (under a slightly different name: power equipment direct). Electric Generators Direct has some bad BBB reviews.

Thanks for pointing out these reviews--they are pretty startling... I sorted them by date hoping that one might see an improvement recently, but even recent ones are still bad. There's only 41 reviews, and yeah, one can expect people with problems would be more likely to write versus ones for whom things went well. But still, definitely something to keep in mind before ordering from them.

Frikin false advertising. Wish I had known this earlier. I could have bought from home depot instead before it went OOS.
