I got this or a very similar fan on the last deal.

Set up was typical, fan noise is typical maybe even a little less noise than what it replaced.

Airflow is good and the remote offers several options for speed and a reverse button.

The light is terrible in my opinion. It functions fine but feels very dim for the size. I did not check LED density when putting it up but I would imagine is isn't very dense given how little light this thing puts off.

For my use case I would by this fan again.

I have a Fanimation fan with the same remote and that is my least favorite most chaotic unresponsive fan that turns on and off randomly to different modes all day long. My other Fanimation fans indoor and outdoor are the best, Covert model 64".

Link to the spec sheet on the 68" model. States "down rod installation only." So I'd imagine it comes with one.

Just a warning, the 6 blade fan puts out much less air than similar size fans despite what you would think looking at it.

Can a light kit be added on the 68" model?
No, there is no stationary part on the bottom, the entire assembly spins.

Compared to what? 7200 cfm at high speed is about average for that blade size.

Where do I get the downrod deal?

Do I have to get the Westinghouse brand downrod or any brand as long as it's 3/4-inch ID (what does ID means?)?
It comes with a downrod, about 12", if you require a longer one they sell them at home stores. ID means inside diameter, 3/4" is the standard width. Just be careful how low you hang this. These are very large fans with a lot of energy, make sure they're high enough that people won't accidentally stick their arms into the blades.

Yes, it's around 12". I have 2 of them, they work well, I like that the remote receiver is integrated into the chassis, makes installation easier. Assembly is pretty easy, Put the blades on before you hang it, much easier.

Wow, this is the first link I've ever clicked on from Slickdeals that was blocked and marked unsafe.

The smaller fan is for rooms larger than rooms for the larger fan. Huh?
Gotta be the number of blades on the smaller model

7100 CFM on the 68". That's way more than what I'm getting with the POS fans the builder installed in our house. I think they are like 3000. Lol

It's because Slickdeals has like 3 redirects that collect browsing data, the only bad thing about Slickdeals

Same here! Sometimes I'll wake up and the Fanimation light will be on, the fan on low, the fan on full blast, or anything in between. It has a mind of its own.
