I was on their 800 Mbps for $40 a month with a mobile discount. It also included the modem rental and unlimited usage. I had this plan for 2 years and now they are offering me 89 bucks for the same package. I am jumping over to another company but hate to have another line drilled into my house.

Yeah I would definitely check if there are data limits on the plan, which based on what I'm reading here is yes and possibly why the rate is cheaper. Still a good deal if you don't hit that 1.2 TB limit, but I wouldn't want to feel limited by my usage either.

If you can get any other internet provider in your area go with them, don't support Comcast.

If Comcast is your only option then this is something you should take advantage of
Many other utilities, like verizon, still require SSN for no valid reason.

I prefer not supporting companies that artificially require such data.

I had the exact same situation. Ended up going with t-mobile. It is far slower on download, comparable on upload and no cap on data. It seems to be reliable enough (lost internet a couple of times, briefly, in the past two months.. that never happened with xfinity).

After I left xfinity, they are sending emails with comparable pricing for faster speed - but I am going to stick with tmobile for a a while.

How reliable are those speeds over coax? Currently have fiber with frontier that runs as advertised consistently at 1 gig.

They need to have more deals for existing customers. Once the new customer deal is over they just keep jacking up the price.

Still don't know what people are using 1 gbps for.
I like it when I download games on my Xbox to only take few minutes. Games are 300gb now with 90gb updates on monthly basis

I currently pay $40, but my current promo is expiring, for 500Mbps. If I go into my account, I see an offer for $25 a month for 300Mbps, 2 year rate, no contract, and even includes a free optional modem. I use my own, but that's nice to have if you need it.

However, it does jump to $35 when I add it to cart, so I'll have to chat with them to see if they'll honor it.

There are deals for existing customers, surprisingly. I am only Gold since I recently moved 2 years ago, and I typically cancel and sign up if retentions didn't offer me a decent deal.

What does everyone do after the 12 months end? Cancel and sign up for a new promotional plan? I think I have a $40/month that will go up to $120 in few months.

How is anyone calling this a good deal. After 1 yr bill shoots up to $160! If this was price fixed for 3-4 years then yeah good deal.
