I insist on at least one USB-D connector for true future compatibility.

That literally makes no sense. You just wouldn't buy it in the first place at this point...
Yes they should buy something much more expensive. Since you're so young some words of wisdom. One size does not fit all...if it's not for you move on. Others might be very content with older cheaper tech

This deal would be way better if it had 10 outlets, 12 USB and 24 USB-C connections. It should also be a 6-pack. Anything less, and it's totally not worth it.

You're absolutely right. My 88 year old parents should ditch this and buy new tech for their phones. What was I thinking...
Don't mind bro's' name is 2008 civic and talking about outdated LOL.

In for a pair, obviously the price wouldn't be this low if it was brand new specs. Good price for what it offers and also Anker stands by their products with good customer service which is important to me more than ever.

Perfect timing! I had purchased two of these previously (~$15 ea) and just got back from a vacation out of state. They've come in very handy so I went to purchase more, and the old listing link via Amazon showed no longer available. I thought these were discontinued!Yes, they are a bit bulky. However, they're invaluable in hotel rooms and other places where there is only one accessible outlet, and you need to plug in another couple of standard wall chargers. I'm fine with the lower total power output and 2x USB-A. I was coming up short for my family on our recent trip for low-power USB-A devices like AirPods and older Apple Watches. I had started pruning my USB-A bricks and this solves for two things at once.

It's outdated, no need to try and defend it...unless they're paying you.

Anker warranty is 18 months and they are even flexible about that usually if you contact customer service and explain what you got. They usually just drop ship a new one from amazon no hassle, thats been my experience anyway.

Yeah, the USB ports on all of my Anker power strip items eventually fail and then I'm back to using them as a normal power strip. I keep giving them more chances and I don't know why. This one is no exception. It's now a dedicated 1 to 3 outlet converter which is better than nothing but I would've never bought it for that reason because I don't want power bricks sticking out from all sides of my outlets. This company is straight junk now, no different than the 'no name' brands you see all over the place on Amazon.

It's too big to not be an extension cord. It's basically their extension cord cube without the cord. It's a poor design. I like the cube on a cord, but this is like plugging a baseball into your wall.

Does this hold up in the airplane? The problem I have is chargers keeps falling off because of the weight and two prong.

I agree with the user above. For my scenario.

Similar deal is the 2-pack Atomi Power Cubes at Costco that are $20 in-store. They come with a nice 5-foot extension cord, so you can choose to plug it into an outlet or at the end of the cord. These are good for presenters, photographers, videographers, content creators... anyone who needs to power up during location work.
