That's not how this works... A T29 Flap Disc has a conical shape and has an angle when you look across the abrasive material. T27 is the flat flap disc. No difference otherwise.

You got me on this one. I don't need flap discs often, but they're definitely nice to have around when you do.

They would be very good for that purpose. Just be cautious, 40 grit will remove a lot of material at a fast pace.

At a dollar per disk you can't go wrong with these, especially when they are not the cheap aluminum oxide when the diablo are selling for $10 per disk for aluminum oxide or $17 for zirconia

Don't forget to check the disc type your grinder takes. Deal is for Type 29, but mine takes Type 27.
