Edit: My point being that shipping is expensive now, where even mailing a letter is 73 cents.

I have purchased other knives from Chicago Knife Works previously and they are reliable, both in product quality and shipping speed. The only thing I wasn't 100% sold on was the "Assisted Opening" action on this knife which can make it harder to flip open this knife (requires more pressure with your finger to actually start the flip-open action). I have occasional trigger-finger type problems with my right pointer finger and I cannot use this knife very easily when affected as such. Other than that, I would probably pick up this knife if I hadn't done so already.
While the fit, finish, and function (especially of the assist mechanism) are quite nice, the handle texture feels cheap and leaves something to be desired. The whole housing is also truly unnecessarily big and heavy, so much so that I engineered a way to essentially remove one half of the fiberglass grip to make it slightly more manageable, even if remarkably more jank. As much as I want to like this knife, it could be half it's size and weight with the same blade if it were better engineered. It's a bit too cumbersome to pocket with anything else and too heavy to hike with, so I'm struggling to find a purpose for this outside the car or toolkit. But hey, maybe if you're a giant it's just right. For me I prefer something more nimble and would advise against purchase unless you have a particular use in mind.
And correction to the site name, it was thatdaildeal.com that sent me the counterfeit Kershaw.
