This is a pretty good price, but it has been consistently at $199 over the past month. On Prime Day, this chainsaw was actually available (WITH a 9ah battery AND the charger) from the same seller for $249.

Amazing saw- i have it and consider it a beast. Only gripe is that the bar retention/tightening uses old fashioned nuts versus toolless. Also, mine didn't have the scrench in the box for the nuts…

How long does it run with battery? 30 minutes or less? Anyone knows?

Given the battery is I think $150-$250 with charger is this a good deal then?

Does this still leak bar oil like the previous model?

I'm sure they all do.

Just clean the saw and drain it when you are done using it and it's not a problem.

Wow I missed that sale! Would have bought two and sold the second chainsaw for a practically free second 9ah battery at that price

Just store it on it's side.

There is no chainsaw that doesn't that's just how the bar oilers are designed

That's why they make chainsaw cases, because thats how they're designed, they're all going to weep bar oil.

Arguably for the saw alone this is a pretty good price, but if you don't have a battery or are willing to sell one on marketplace etc there have been a number of combos that were a better overall value. I didn't see that 250 price, which would have been a crazy good deal, but this saw or the 20" saw have hit 350 with a 12 or 15ah (20v rating, 4 or 5 ah 60v raing) battery several times, with the 15 especially that would be more value per dollar as the 15 sells for like 200 bucks by itself, and the charger is worth 30-40 for a fast charger that is typically included in those deals. If you're going to use the saw in the near future and have a battery this is a pretty decent price, if you just know you'll want one eventually I'd hold off until either the end of the summer/fall season or the holidays for potentially better deals.

Where did you see a deal with a fast charger? I've been on the lookout for one and have yet to see any bundle with one, except with some European version of this model.

Most all Flexvolt combos come with the DCB115 4amp charger which is still better than what most 20v kits come with now, some of the higher end combos come with the yellow chargers that are 6 amp and up too I believe.

I see all this electric stuff but nothing beats my husky 372 with a 30" bar

Have this saw that came with the 20"
Bar and while it may be good for a battery chainsaw, there is just not the power there compared to similar priced and lower priced gas saws. I really wish this wasn't the case, I wanted it to work for sure. Once the chain dulls just a bit it doesn't have the power needed if you are trying to cut through logs or anything more than 3" diameter or so. I end up using my $200 husqvarana for anything that is somewhat challenging now and it blows the dewalt out of the water. Feel like I wasted money as I got it when it first came out and dropped 500 for the tool plus battery.
