You can activate phone #1 to have the bundled 1-yr and units loaded to it. Then activate phone #2 WITH A TRANSFER from phone #1; service on phone #1 (phone number, 1-yr, units) get transferred to phone #2, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #2 get added on top, giving phone #2 two years of service and 2x the units.

If you're currently using a phone on TF, your can activate phone #1 WITH A TRANFER from your current phone to have your current phone number, days, units transferred to phone #1, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #1 get added on top. Then activate phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. After that, if you prefer to use your current phone, re-activate your current phone with a transfer from phone #2. Smart existing TF users do that all the time to "harvest" cheap service days and units from those HSN/QVC bundles.

Folks, just so you're aware...

The service plan is 1500 text, 1500 minutes, 1.5gb data -- for the *entire year*. Not per month. That's about 4 minutes of talk time per day.

It's an extremely minimal and restrictive cellular plan, one that you could even call insultingly low - especially if you're used to cellular plans in modernized nations (aka, ones outside the the USA). It's not for everyone, and make sure it fits your use case.

No need to be insulted - for many people (for example, those who use less than 4 minutes of phone talk per day) paying $2 (and sometimes less) per month for a phone service which includes a new smartphone every year is a very good deal.

Thank you for the Symfonium recommendation. I had not heard of this one. Tried and purchased the full version. Just what I was looking for.
Welcome. I started using it during Beta same creator as Yatse which I used for Kodi for a long time. I started with Plexamp but liked this one more due to all the features for music and audiobooks especially. And family users didn't need a Plex Pro account to download.

It is 4G. Best to use over wifi.
So why bother even buying a "cellular" phone at that point?

I immediately knew this was for a the entire year because it's TracFone - but others might not - good callout.

Also, who makes phone calls anymore? This is great as an emergency/spare/burner phone. The price for 2 x 1 year of service alone is very good.
...you buy a mobile PHONE and not make PHONE calls? ....well, that's up to you. Different strokes for different folks. Suppose that's why there's a plan for 4 mins of talk time per day.

With texting being the norm I have a hard time using 4 minutes of phone time a WEEK! For us current TF users, getting 3K minutes, texts and 3G data for $80 ($50 for new user…and it's easier than you think) PLUS 2 phones, this is a no brainer!
Well, using the same math as above -- you get four texts per day. That's not a lot.

Where have you been the last 15 years mate? People use their phones to communicate and consume information - they aren't used primarily for phone calls anymore. Heck, all the calls I make for work are on Zoom now - I t's a new world out there.

I'll ping you when I find a flip phone deal with unlimited calling 😉

That explains the anxiety young adults get when we tell them to "pick up the phone and CALL someone." Oh well.

Yes, you can activate the 1st one and add the 2nd one to the same phone number to get 2 years of service.
Unlocks after 60 days. Not sure if you activate the 2nd one before 60 days if the 1st one will also unlock.
Sign up for their rewards program to get additional points that you can use to extend service.
4G is faster than many people's home wifi 😂

Don't sweat the Gs.

Tracfone is ideal for people who don't use their phones much, like me. TF service is NOT for people who use their phones for work, business. I'm retired, at home most of the time, using my laptop on Wifi. Typically, I use about 100 minutes/200 texts/100MB per month. I don't yak on the phone all the time. A TF plan with 1-yr and 1500 in each bucket is enough for me. If I need extra texts (for group texts from my siblings) I can buy extra texts at $5 for 1000 texts.

With those TF bundles, my typical cell phone service costs less than $5 a month. I cringed when I saw people paying $80 to $100 a month for their cell phone service.

It's pretty egotistical to suggest they need to communicate the same way you do. They video chat more than you do, but good job trying to suggest things were better in the old days.

Just keep yelling at them to get off your lawn and they won't bother you.

That said, this plan is ideal for older people like yourself - it's great for my parents as they make less than 30 minutes of calls a month and don't use much Internet. $50 for TWO plans (let alone including two phones) is an AMAZING deal.

I use close to tens of gigs of data per month so this isn't the plan for me or many others - but it is great for people that who's use case falls within it's parameters.

I got a deal similar last year! If you plan to activate one phone and save the other one Becareful as I was not able to do it later on the second! Tracfone will not help you! Good luck
I activated the first of a flip phone deal promptly then waited about 1 yr. to do the second. Did it for a friend a few days ago and she had held the second phone for over 1 yr. We both then transferred the the min., texts and data to our original phones. No problems. I would very strongly urge anyone doing this to do it using the automated process on the account page and not by calling CS. DO NOT try to do it by switching SIMS.

anyone knows if I can add this to my existing line to extend it two more years? thanks
Lots of people do that. I'd suggest you check Ebay to see if they still offer 2 Journey flip phones, each with 1 yr. of service and some min. and texts for $40. Those locked phones are just about useless, of course.

Thank you! I never noticed step #1 Remove a line from an account.
You're welcome. Note that if Account A has no active lines left, you won't be able to add new devices or lines from other account to it later...
