If you're currently using a phone on TF, your can activate phone #1 WITH A TRANFER from your current phone to have your current phone number, days, units transferred to phone #1, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #1 get added on top. Then activate phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. After that, if you prefer to use your current phone, re-activate your current phone with a transfer from phone #2. Smart existing TF users do that all the time to "harvest" cheap service days and units from those HSN/QVC bundles.
The service plan is 1500 text, 1500 minutes, 1.5gb data -- for the *entire year*. Not per month. That's about 4 minutes of talk time per day.
It's an extremely minimal and restrictive cellular plan, one that you could even call insultingly low - especially if you're used to cellular plans in modernized nations (aka, ones outside the the USA). It's not for everyone, and make sure it fits your use case.

Maybe you can transfer from your Galaxy to the Moto phone and then transfer back to the Galaxy. Then transfer from your Galaxy to the second Moto phone and back to the Galaxy. That way, it'll be easier to transfer back to your Galaxy as the final active phone. That's assuming Tracfone only allows up to two phones on each account, one active and one inactive.
I used to have more phones sitting in my Tracfone account but noticed Tracfone removed all but the two most recent ones. I think they changed the system to allow only two phones now. Anyone have more than two phones on their accounts?
I have two different Tracfone accounts, and would like to use a phone from one account on another account.
My 8yr old got one too, great starter phone.

So phone is just something you use if there is nothing else available.
For those who rarely do voice calls, minutes used gonna be very minimum.
I have had TracFone for years, since I'm not much to call. I have used the phone service and texts many times, but not enough to run out of minutes or texts, or even data.
Right now I have over 5gb of data accumulated, several thousand of phone and texts as well.
Considering how much I saved for something I barely used, is very much worth it.
In my case, if this could be cheaper and less minutes text and data as an option, it be something an option to me.
The way it is is good though, don't mind having a bit of coverage that I never find the necessity to use. Better than paying 50-100$ a month for something I have already other ways to get it, and rarely need a cellphone to be the avenue to do it.

AT&T and their MVNOs are different. AT&T has a whitelist of accepted devices https://www.att.com/scmsassets/su...etwork.pdf . If a phone has the necessary bands but its model number doesn't match EXACTLY, you can't activate a new AT&T BYOP SIM with its IMEI (some people will swap in an already-activated SIM, but I won't discuss that). Some TF phones have model numbers ending with V or DL, and they're usually not in AT&T whitelist. Some AT&T MVNOs like Cricket even have a stricter whitelist.
