You can activate phone #1 to have the bundled 1-yr and units loaded to it. Then activate phone #2 WITH A TRANSFER from phone #1; service on phone #1 (phone number, 1-yr, units) get transferred to phone #2, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #2 get added on top, giving phone #2 two years of service and 2x the units.

If you're currently using a phone on TF, your can activate phone #1 WITH A TRANFER from your current phone to have your current phone number, days, units transferred to phone #1, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #1 get added on top. Then activate phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. After that, if you prefer to use your current phone, re-activate your current phone with a transfer from phone #2. Smart existing TF users do that all the time to "harvest" cheap service days and units from those HSN/QVC bundles.

Folks, just so you're aware...

The service plan is 1500 text, 1500 minutes, 1.5gb data -- for the *entire year*. Not per month. That's about 4 minutes of talk time per day.

It's an extremely minimal and restrictive cellular plan, one that you could even call insultingly low - especially if you're used to cellular plans in modernized nations (aka, ones outside the the USA). It's not for everyone, and make sure it fits your use case.

No need to be insulted - for many people (for example, those who use less than 4 minutes of phone talk per day) paying $2 (and sometimes less) per month for a phone service which includes a new smartphone every year is a very good deal.

Thank you.
May I ask when was your most recent service transfer on website?
Just trying to determine how relevant this is wrt time.
I did it a transfer of service back and forth on the website on July 30. It was the Blu phone with the unlimited plan, not the two phones in the this deal. Ordinarily, I would have waited a day before transferring the service back to the original phone, but I didn't want to use the Blu at all. The service combined and the expiration date was extended by a year. I will check to see if the phone is unlocked/unlockable in 60 days, but I don't really care either way.

I did have to change my PW recently though because the website stopped working for me. After I changed my PW, everything worked fine (except I think Tracfone removed most of my inactive phones on my account).
Could you please give more details?
Where you able to login BEFORE changing pswd?
What was not working BEFORE changing pswd?
I wonder if it applies to my case.

Thank you, what browser/OS you used?
Tracfone site seems to be very browser specific at least.
Did you do it on PC or phone?

What is the expiration date you are refering to?
Is it a SIM card date?
TIA
If I recall the activation page had some sort of date. I don't have any handy now to tell what exact was that.

Thanks.
Is there a way to determine when transfer is complete?
Do they send you some email?

I did transfer several hours ago, but still cannot send SMS.
Rebooted new phone several times of course.

Thanks for the clarification. Lol you saved me from unnecessarily establishing a few extra "households." Still a good deal for someone with the use case.

I did the same, activated the Blu on an existing line, got the data added on , switched back to the original phone. After 60 plus dates, I cannot unlock the Blu.

Would this be a good fit for family members from overseas whenever they visit for a month or so? Can I stop using/deactivate the lines till they're back next time? Do the prepaid minutes expire in a year?

Also, is the general recommendation to daisy chain the hours into one phone as opposed to two? What would be the point of the first phone after, assuming it remains locked?

No, once activated, the plan stays active for 365 days, whether you use it or not. You can't stop it. You'll see the plan expiration date by texting BAL or USAGE to 611611.
If you have two family members coming, you can have two different phone numbers from this deal. You may be able to activate the 2nd phone when someone is coming next time. However, if it's past the QVC return period and something is wrong with the phone/service, you're out of luck (don't count on TF to fix things later.)

I mostly use Chrome in incognito mode for activations and transfers. Almost all my transfers have been TF-branded phones on TF/Verizon network and the transfers are instant.

From what I remember, I think I kept getting errors when on website and nothing would work. I was worried because I had to transfer my service to my new phone at the time. I think I was having a hard time logging in also (but can't remember 100% if that was the case).

After I changed my PW, everything worked fine.
