Lol. What in the world are you talking about? I have this and it's fantastic on PS5. There's no lag at all. I love how you have no experience with this on PS5, yet you're speaking like you do. Like I said, it will look better on PC, but performance is nearly identical (minus the occasional dropped frame or 2). Don't take my word for it. Go watch the Digital Foundry review. Start it at about the 14:55 mark. https://youtu.be/aSKRlSTU3kY?si=WO5MGdImtk5yuawi

I've beaten the first one fully outside of the one fast chick optional boss.
I played it on PC.
I'd guess with Nioh being as old as it is there is no chance to transfer / cross save.

Any thoughts on whether to go PS5 vs PC?
I have a high end 7900XTX so my PC will definitely have a leg up on what my PS5 can do.
OLED for both so that is a wash.

Same setup, play PC, looks better and pretty sure the game supports 120hz those it's been a few years since I have fired it up

It's 120fps on PS5, too, but yes, it will look better on a higher-end PC.

Yeah but prob 1080p with upscaling at 120fps at best, plus frame insertion on PS5 so not really worth it since the upscaling alone will add lag

Isn't the PC version actually ported from PS4? The PS5 release was several years later.

go PC for sure. Also helps with save scumming when you are trying to get better items through rolls

Is this the kind of game that a person who likes to suffer through fromsoft games multiple times would enjoy?

Yep. I've had to replay boss fights over and over on some levels

IMHO Nioh is a littler easier and feels "fairer". The combat in the first one was awesome. The second one somehow improved on that to be even more awesome.

If youre a soulsborne fan, Nioh is 100% up your alley. Can't recommend Nioh 2 enough!

Put well over 1k hours into both games. Pretty fun and interesting gameplay mechanics.
