Nope. I ported multiple. Just open Google voice number and unlock for $3. Then create voice main pin and that's it. Provide those to total by Verizon when you want to transfer

This will most likely go down to $100 in a couple of months based on previous Razr series.

Does anyone have experience with unlocking the device from a different country? It didn't automatically unlock for me. Any idea?

I got the following message several weeks ago when in the US. Now no messages go through because there is no cell phone reception. The phone is connected to wifi.

Great news!!! Your phone will be eligible to be unlocked on 10-09-2024

On this date, please call our Unlock Department at 1-888-442-5102 so that we can email you instructions to easily unlock your device.

Definitely should have unlocked by now. Did you make calls to verify it activated correctly on the included sim?
You're going to have to contact support to fix whatever is wrong & probably need to have phone in your hand -

Mine is suppose to be unlocked on nov 6. Today I put in my us mobile sim card and it is still locked. I called the unlock department and they said it is unlocked already. Thery ask me to do the following:

Connect the phone to wifi and then turn off the phone.

Wait 2 minutes

Input my sim card

Turn on the phone

Wait up to 2 hours for the phone to be unlocked.

Do I get that right?

Is that the date you get when you text unlock date to 611611? Mine usually unlock right on time, sometimes a day early.

Check settings, about phone, network lock - if it doesn't show "unlocked" there's something wrong.

Check the prior TbV threads - they've been known to not honor their pricing or promotions. We've had to report them to the FCC. Avoid them at all costs.
Bought a A15 for my wife this year (99 all in). Worked perfect. 60 days later swapped to our Boost Account

Do you need 2-months (60 days) of service to qualify for the unlock?

This method worked for me:

Install another active SIM, ATT, T-Mobile whatever, and power cycle the phone. This did the trick for me.

Most people wait because if it doesn't it's frustrating to get fixed. There are no guarantees with TW.
