Comparing with Purely Inspired brand that has 16 scoops vs the 19 here:
16 × 20 = 320g protein for ~$12 after discounts
19 × 30 = 570g protein for ~$23 after discounts
570 ÷ 320 = 1.78
23 ÷ 12 = 1.92
So the Purely Inspired edges out on price, but the current discount is for the "creamy French vanilla" flavor only. The chocolate flavor Purely Inspired does not have the discount currently.
Already have the Purely Inspired French vanilla so decided to go with this Vega chocolate deal.
Was gonna order the peanut butter flavor too but it seems one of the discounts, either the 30% or the $7 off, can only be applied one time. At least in the same order. I'll see if I can order it separately once this order ships, assuming the discount remains available.
Edit: oh man, I forgot to account for Purely Inspired being organic. Now this Vega deal doesn't seem so hot. Wondering if I should just cancel my order 🤔
Edit 2: was so close to pressing cancel order, since organic should always best non-organic, but I guess I'll give it a try since I've never tried the Vega "premium" label in black before. Have tried the Vega white container chocolate powder and was not impressed at all. But, guess I'll see if there's any meaning to the "premium" lol not expecting anything but only time I'd try it is with this big discount, so might as well.
Really like the flavor. It tastes like some type of chocolate cake. Really good. Much better taste than the white container from the same company.
The 30g protein per serving is a bit misleading, since what they've done is use a huge measuring scoop instead of the regular small ones that most containers come with. This thing is almost twice the size of a regular scoop. So essentially it's closer to 15-17g protein per regular size scoop. The advantage here tho is quantity. Since this container comes with 19 servings from it's huge scoop, that makes it like 33 servings of a regular scoop.
Overall I'm glad I got it at this discounted price. Not organic but the flavor almost makes up for that.
