Normally, changing the keyboard would be nothing, but on these really thin laptops, the replacement parts are $35 and $100 for service to pull everything out of the case to get to the keyboard for replacement. The motherboard has to be removed, for example. So, if you don't type much or are very "light" touch with the keys, perhaps you'll get 4 yrs from the laptop.
For my needs, 8GB of RAM and the Core i5 (5800 passmarks (current passmark rating) ) was more than sufficient. The Intel Iris Xe Graphics makes me nervous. My OS of choice had over 4 yrs of terrible support for those GPUs. The Core i3 passmark rating in this laptop is just under 11000, so performance will be good enough for typical desktop needs.
I don't have any complaints about the older display, especially for $220. If you want a high-end display, spend $900+.
If it didn't have Intel Iris Xe Graphics, I'd buy with an expected lifespan of 24 months. However, I prefer 13" laptops. They travel better, IME.
There are complaints about S-Mode. Here's a response from Asus Support:

Dell has something similar at around 250$ with amex cashbacks. They are a lot better options compared to this piece of shit.
