This was my experience. I recently placed an order for a TracFone on QVC. The order went through. A pending charge appeared on my credit card the day of the order. The next day I received an email from the QVC "Customer Verification Team" stating that my order had been cancelled. The reason cited was that I had multiple accounts. The QVC account associated with the cancelled order was administratively closed.
Never had a prepaid. I am needing something for my kiddo. I don't need 2. Could I use 1 for a year and then swap to the other for year 2? Or is there a max wait period to activate?

You can activate the first phone, then activate the second with a transfer of service from the first. That way you will have two years of service on one phone. No reason to wait, except if you want to unlock the first phone, you might want to wait 60 days before activating the second.
Depending on the kid's usage though, this might not be a great option. Some teens/preteens will go through 1.5B in a day, instead of a year. And refills are $10 per GB or 1000 points if you do the rewards program.

This - I think - is the "Achilles heel" / weakest point of these Tracfone deals. Even when kids are NOT using the phone on the road and ONLY use the device when Wi-Fi is available, the OS or Apps seem to use data (tmaybe o check if there are updates etc.?) that the 1.5GB data gets used up in almost no time. I have verified this by turning OFF the Data on the device and keeping the device with me while on a road trip. The data balance was still less by a few megabytes when we reached the destination compared to when we started.
Are there any other tweaks / settings on the phone / Android to prevent these "phantom data balance drains" ?

So far I have used the new customer code 4x this year. One just needs to use a different email. Easy. Another Pixel 6a on the way. This one comes with the 24GB, 1 year talk text and same as the Blu phone purchased which unlocks this month. Since unlocked, I send them down to Mexico for friends and family.

I have the 24GB annual deal from the A53's over a year ago....sold the phones after unlock and harvest. I still have over 21GB data remaining...I leave data on all the time, but run a firewall and only let select apps use data, in some cases only when the screen is on. Have taken it on weeks long camping trips, too.
I doubt it uses data with the data off, but it takes time for the usage to get updated, it's not instantaneous. Using data with it off would violate FCC regulations methinks...might even pose a safety hazard in some circumstances, e.g. on an airplane.
I'm not super familiar with how Tracfone works but as my parents have Tracfones I help them get a yearly plan every year to keep their phones active. From what I have seen with these deals recently the card/plan is tied to the phone correct? Not an actual card with numbers? Year cards are more expensive than this deal so I guess I can buy this phone and transfer their current phone plan/number over with no issues right?
They don't really care about bells and whistles so any phone will do for them.
