Do these ever go lower on price? As good as magnatiles?
Honestly hard to tell the difference. It think Magnatiles have a slightly larger magnet but you'd have to hold them side by side to tell the difference. My daughter doesn't know/care which are picasso and which are magnatiles. They have the magnets in the same places and are interoperable with one another.
For generic tiles, the Picasso's are great. We do buy magnatiles for the theme'ed sets.
You might be able to find Magnatiles on sell on Target. We found the 130 dollar dino set for 30 bucks a couple of weeks ago, but ymmv. You also might opt for the Temu versions as those seem to be fine as well, but we got a small set for a birthday and i haven't really played with them.
