I find these short motion activated trash bins annoying

I bought this in May, 2021, per Best Buy. Still working well, easy to change batteries. This is perfect for people in apartment buildings with trash chutes. We use plastic grocery bags (make sure to tape up any holes in the bag) and throw it away nightly. Never get roaches or ants.

It's about the same size as the one we have now. We don't need a very big one because we throw out the trash 1-2 times every day, try not to keep any garbage inside the house overnight because they attract bugs.

I can attest that the motor to open and close the lid works very well. Bought 3, 3 1/2 years ago for my home and they still work to this day. 2 are in the bathrooms and still function flawlessly despite the moisture. 1, the lid will open but won't close after. I'd highly recommend for a study or bathroom area though. Battery life lasts almost a year.
