RaceTrac at least has pickup - I can get free soda each month
Placed an Doordash order a few mins ago for some bottle water, but forgot to apply the promo. Doordash does not allow merchants to cancel the order. When customers try to cancel it, there is a warning saying no refund. This is crazy. Their customer service could not help and left the chat suddenly after I told them I will dispute the charges and write a negative review.
If it is a small operation, I may understand that. But being a public traded company with business ties with Chase, then it is a big surprise!
Did not expect part 2 of the story was a DoorDash refund. I was about to wait for the transaction to be posted and file a dispute. But then I wanted to try DoorDash customer service one more time. This time the CSR was much more understanding and helpful. The CSR issued me a refund with an email confirmation.
Bad DoorDash system/process? DoorDash marked my order complete though I never picked it up. I think my last DD pick up order was like that too. According to the merchant, in this case 7-11, they proceed orders and that's it for them. It does not matter whether a customer picks up the order or not in this case because it gone through a 3rd party app. If it was their own system, I think it would be like other stores that they would return the items to their inventory and issue a refund if the customer does not pick it up within certain time frame.
$300 comes off with any travel related purchases leaving $250. I have used Instacart+ $15 off discount per month which was better than the DashPass benefit now.
Recommend exploring it for a year. I see 60K bonus currently which is not as good as the 60K bonus + $300 travel credit on the Preferred. You don't get lounge benefits or TSA/Global Entry credit with Preferred. However, it is $95 vs. $250 (after $300 Travel Credit) Annual Fee.
