And as amazing as GT7, Resident Evil and No Man's Sky are on PSVR2, that's pretty much it for PSVR2 AAA experiences. Sadly, Sony abandoned PSVR2 about as quickly as they abandoned PSVR1. Which is a damn shame since VR has been stagnant for years now.
The final nail in the coffin was easily the fact the new Astro game won't come to PSVR2, despite how well the original Astro Rescue Mission played in PSVR1. It's like Sony doesn't even care anymore.
Sadly, fire sale is definitely a fair way to look at this.

Thankfully I am a huge fan of GT7 and so far, I don't regret it overall at $350. I know full well that this thing will be obsolete in less than 5 years and overall I'm okay with that too.

The new releases kind of slowed to a trickle of mostly second rate, low budget games. I think the upcoming PC adapter is a major sign that Sony is done investing in bringing PSVR games to PS5.

I said this a year ago - The nails in the Coffin was launching for the same price as a ps5, and not launching with PC support, which will always have a higher user base than consoles. Sadly Sony has been hella arrogant this generation.

After having it for almost a week. I honestly have to say, "meh." It's nice but I think I'd much rather jump on the Quest 3 if I want to jump into VR. Maybe the tech and VR are so close and competitive at this point that this really didn't do much to "wow" me.
I had a bunch of games for PSVR 1 but I guess those aren't supported on the PSVR 2. The only thing I was able to play was No Mans Sky which is a great game on it's own. Just don't know if it warrants spending $350 on a headset to play it.
I have a bunch of games already purchased on the Quest 3. So I don't really see the need or want to purchase those again just to play them on the PSVR2. The only games I would probably be interested in are the Resident evils games, but I already have 4 on the Quest3. and GT7. So I dunno. I think i'm just going to return it. It's cool that has eye tracking and nice lenses and all. I never really had anything newer VR related to compare to the Quest 3. And comparing the quality of the Quest 3 and the PSVR2 they both look really good. Like hard for me to tell the difference.
I figure. Instead of spending $350 for the PSVR2, I could basically drop some extra cash and get a PC that will play Steam VR and be able to use the quest 3 to play all those games and even more.
I honestly wasn't too thrilled about the build quality of the PSVR2. It felt really cheap. Like fragile lightweight plastic. It's very similar in design to the PSVR 1, but on this version that headband and the visor just feel so fragile. Like if you bump it a bit too hard it would snap. I dunno, just feels overall cheap even for the marked down price of $350. It does feel extremely comfortable on the head and face though.
These are just my thoughts. Good to see more and more people purchasing the PSVR 2 with the recent price drop.

They didn't buy a PSVR 1.
All the people (like me), who bought the PSVR 1 got burned by it because Sony abandoned it, and we've been trying to warn others the same thing we experienced is happening right now.
PSVR 2 is gonna be dusted and abandoned by Sony. Some will learn the lesson the hard way. The fact that they had to make an adapter to work with PC just proves this -- Sony understands the limited support going forward and needed to expand it so it doesn't look like complete abandonware round 2.
Those that buy this, it will be the in closet collecting dust in a few months, even with PC support. You will find that it's difficult to get rid of in the second-hand market, and if you are able to, it will be a fraction of what you paid.
Try it out, if you have ANY slight doubt about it's future and value, then return it immediately and get your cash back.

Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil 4
Are just two games that rivals and in many people's opinion, better than Half Life Alyx (long considered the best VR game by a long shot).
GT7 by far the best racing VR game.
There's also Horizon, Synapse, Switchback etc
Those are the exclusives. That's first year after launch. We're halfway through second year and people are calling for its death already. Personally think it's a bit premature and if you only care about exclusives then maybe you can agree but if you don't care then there's actually lots of great content coming. Wanderer, Behemoth and Metro just to name a few. Sony on the face of it seem to only have one studio working on content though and on top of it sounds like they're struggling and recently half the team was laid off.
