Not this one, but I tried the RIDGID model that appears to be exactly the same and might be given how the specs matched up. The RIDGID model worked well enough for the few holes I needed to drill for anchoring. Definitely not as powerful as corded and chews through batteries but worked well enough for my application.

I have one. I've used it tons. everything from chipping old tile & concrete. Drilling 5/8" holes in 4500 psi concrete & using a spade bit to dig holes in clay & rocks.
I'ts held up quite well.

This 1" is much better than the RYOBI 5/8" SDS Rotary Hammer Drill, because it has the hammer only mode for chiseling, which the 5/8" doesn't.

Got one at direct tool factory outlet for under $100. Great addition to my Ryobi collection. Makes masonry work easy. Make sure you l have couple 4amp battery around. Will go through them quickly if you are drill through concrete or brick wall.

Congratulations. I looked at most major sales within a year and did not see this version. The compact smaller one without hammer only mode is fairly often for sale, this one is not.

Get this. Great tool, great price. It is never on sale. I bought a refurb from DTO on sale for $100. This one is new for $15 more, so that is a GREAT deal and hasnt been on sale for the last 3 years for this price. I use this tool more than almost any Ryobi tool I own. It does much more than I thought. I use it for drilling concrete with rebar with ease. Removing tile. For digging holes in my clay soil for shrubs (20 3 foot x 2 1/2 deep holes in hard clay). I have a powered Makita hammer drill and this one is so much better.

FWIW, I bought and tried the RIDGID and it broke within the first 15 minutes of use. I just returned it and didn't try another and just went back to my Bosch electric.

I also got the Ridgid 1" SDS-Plus for $44 when DTO had an 80% off sale at stores. It's done everything I needed without any issues.

I went to return the battery to the local store and they insisted I have to return it together with the tool and the battery can't be returned alone. For people who have used such "hacks" do you present your receipt or show the order# ? Not asking for a friend

Completely agreed. I have this one (1" SDS) on a high performance (HP) battery. Easily on par with, if not better than my corded Bosch hammer drill.
Just curiosity, what bit are you using for digging into soils? I might be ignorant but I am not familiar with soil-digging SDS bits or adapters. Thanks.
