Is it possible to return the stand for some additional savings? Not sure I really care to have the stand, but I'd love to get this closer to 500.

edit: sorry if this was a dumb question. I thought others have used a similar trick in the past to get better deals on components of bundle deals and was just curious if that was possible.

Pretty good deal considering it comes with the mobile stand. The mobile stand is really handy considering this tool weighs 92lbs and needs clearance space should you wish to plane/mill long pieces of lumber.

I wish they'd bring the 220v international version stateside. Just swapped the straight cutter for a shelix and had to upgrade my extension cables due to the additional power draw.

My 2¢: I have the planer with the extension tables but use the WEN base. I prefer the extension wings for longer stock.

that's a pretty sick stand. I have the regular stand that came with mine - I may have to figure out a way to add some wings

I lucked out and got a 735X (no stand) for $364.65 in 2018. These planers are about as good as you will get aside from a free standing bigger unit.
