for anyone who doesn't know, this is the gold standard when it comes to benchtop planers.
ok deal if you value the stand, but the DW735X version of this planer with extra blades and infeed/outfeed tables regularly goes on sale for ~$600.

Respectfully, not a good deal on amazon as that exact setup was $499 at ACME last week. I almost jumped on the $499 deal, but felt this was better at $569 (10% discount of $629). I felt stand was worth $70, plus comfort of Home Depot vs ACME.

FYI, this planer bolts to a standard miter saw stand, and works great in the field. If you don't sink it into a real feed table, having some flex can be an advantage for handing long boards and preventing snipe.
