is this good/are the M12 tools any good?
I've got a bunch of dewalt 20v tools. Not sure I *need* more stuff, but the 12v milwaukee is tempting.

Which ratchet is generally considered the best all-arounder?

The M12 line is generally considered very good; I know several contractors and non-pros that use the line. They have a great ratio of power (especially the Fuel line) to size and price. Personally, I'm a DIYer non-pro, and I generally default to the regular non-Fuel version and only upgrade if I actually ware out it (hasn't happened yet, but I did snag a M12 Fuel Drill/Driver since I love my base M12 one so much). I haven't had any case where I needed a M18 variant, but again, I'm not using these professionally.

Well the 1/2" has the most torque [milwaukeetool.com], but personally for home/DIY uses, I've never needed more than my 3/8" non-Fuel version. Worth calling out, I don't do auto work with it. As just a home owner/DIY, I have the non-Fuel version of this and it's been plenty for my uses.

Best really depends on your use case... This is probably the best for the money. Extended is a little better if you need to reach tighter areas. Insider ratchet is top of line.

M12 has been enough for me working on a performance side by side and my daily driver. Only time I've had to break out an M18 tool was for an overtightened axle nut.

If your current stuff works just stick with it, when one breaks, look into replacing it with Milwaukee if you're wanting to join team red.

I'll say this though, I love my Milwaukee power ratchet (I have the nonfuel version and use it mostly for hose clamps). Saves my wrist and time. If it ever breaks, I'll be getting this one to replace it.

Nice kit, just don't understand mating it up to the two larger batteries. Unless you don't care about getting them into tighter areas.

Which a lot of people do. That is why Milwaukee redesigned the higher speed fuel ratchet to have a smaller head. Like the non fuel ratchet has.

I got two of the non fuel ratchets and they fit just about anywhere. The next best ratchet they make would be the long neck fuel ratchet. Now that one would make sense with these larger batteries.

This one has about the same torque as most cordless ratchets, but its speed is 2x all the others. Their Gen1 fuel ratchet has 2x the torque, but the head is larger so not as easy to fit in tight spots which is generally what you want these for.

For peeps who will use these tools a lot, this is the best overall option(price vs usefulness). The Insider is better, but those are $250 with no battery and I don't ever remember seeing the Insider on sale.

This is a really good price for this.

i have given up on trying to stick to few teams. Too many deals have led me to Bosch 12v/Ryobi 18v/Dewalt 20v/Milwaukee 12v, so far..

How is it hackable? The tool and battery are part of the same combo
