It's been this price before. HL:A is an incredible game, and the more people who can experience it, the better. Before the inevitable question is asked, yes, it can be modded to be technically playable on a flatscreen, but that's ruining most of the game. It's the difference between being told about a stunning mountaintop vista and actually going there.
PC hardware requirements for it are pretty low anymore. It runs quite well with a GTX1080, which I've found for $100-$150 on FBMP. You can get used, good VR headsets like the Quest 2 in the same price range.

This was a fun game due to it being like novel with VR, but if you are craving half life from back in 2008 in the black mesa facility type of setting then you absolutely need to check out the game on steam called abiotic factor. It's literally a copy type game of half life, but better in every aspect. Go read the reviews it's amazing. The game brought back magic of half life 1.
Will this work on quest 2 or 3? If so is it a process to get it running?
Have personally played it with a Q2, and it was just fine. No issues that I could find, but I've literally played only 3~4 games with Q2 to PC, so maybe others can weigh in better. Still haven't tried on Q3, so can't say much there except that I fully expect it to be same/better.
So far as I remember, there's just a "SteamVR" (or something) app to start up, hook up a long USB-C 3.0+ cable and you're good to go. Simple enough that I forgot how I did it. 😛

I tried many action games and didn't like them. Only this one is giving me full immersive experience. It is clearly the best VR game. The sport games are really cool in VR too.

Mind if I asked if it's hard to get started with my PC? I bought Quest 3 a month ago and been using standalone apps, and haven't set anything up beyond that.
