18w and 1,260 lumens is pretty dim for off-road work. A 100w lightbulb is roughly 1,700 lumens for comparison.

I bought these a while back for around the same price. Needed/wanted to rig up a portable light system quick and cheap. They actually surprised me, they are pretty damn bright and work great. I am running them off a ryobi 18v battery and they last a long time too. Hard to beat for the price and I will be grabbing some of their more powerful ones to modify this system soon

I actually ran with 12v too and didn't notice any difference to be honest. I mean, I wouldn't use them for serious off roading but that is a given. These are a good cheap led for work lights, fog lights, atv, sander, aux, outdoor etc. They have much more powerful ones with a flood spot combo too which would work better for serious off road, baja or bright light for large areas

I'm planning on picking up the flood version as soon as it drops in price.

To ensure it lasts as long as possible, I'd recommend taking it apart and realigning everything. The glass panel tends to be overtightened, which will lead to cracks eventually.

the circuitry converts the voltage so that it can run a wider range, these can run up to 30v.

I got a set of these a few weeks ago and am running it off of a 20v SKIL battery. btw if anyone else is interested you can pick up a pigtail adapter for basically any brand of battery off of ali, people buy them for power wheels I guess.

I got this to put on my e-bike, I have a $30 SOFIRN bs01 and these pod lights are brighter than the brightest setting. Plus the pod lights are cheaper to replace and I won't have to worry about someone stealing them off my bike.

Fog/aux lights can only be used like high beams so only when there is no oncoming traffic. At least that is in my area.
