Given all the discount filaments I bought during Prime sale, this will come in handy. Thanks!

I guess this is for storage? Not for us while printing?

I've got a few of these bags from another vendor but mine slowly lose vacuum over time. Hopefully these don't have the same issue since it does look like the vacuum port is made a little different. The hand pump looks identical though.

These are great for particularly hygroscopic filaments like Nylon, TPU, and PETG. I usually toss a few reusable silica packets in there before vaccuming the bags. Just remember to dry your filament before storing if you want to be able to just open the bag and print later down the road. These will store dry filament but they won't dry out wet filament.

I'd prob just get a big Rubbermaid container that seals, drop some silica packets in it and call it a day

That's fine and what I use* for frequently used rolls but if I know that a roll isn't likely to be used for a while, (like TPU for example) I'd much rather have something like these bags for individual sealing.

*I actually found some husky bins at Home Depot that have a rubber seal that I like.

Keeping filament dry has been a life saver. Waaaaay less clogs/breaks. I mainly print abs and pc though

I bought that husky container and found a better deal for the same water proof seal from Big Lots larger and cheaper. " Clear 53-Quart Waterproof Latching Storage Tote"

I am seeing WalMart has water proof containers too. Looks promising.

FYI, Fakespot grade is F.

I was a big fan of the rechargeable mini Foodsaver vacuum sealer until it's charging ability fell off a cliff just after the 2-year warranty expired:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VSVRNFH/

I've been using these much more expensive Foodsaver bags that are a tight fit for my spools:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Q996X6L/

On Amazon Prime Day, I picked up this vacuum set primarily due to the manual pump which works so much better than the rechargeable:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0973DGD8P/
This hand pump is amazing and works much better than the electric one, even when new!

In any case, I ordered both sets (electric and manual pumps) hoping these bags may work just as well as the more costly Foodsaver bags, and having a spare hand vacuum pump.

Thanks OP!
