Wow I used to play an old DOS game "Flame Dragon 2" (It's in Chinese, and I don't know the language, but I played it nonetheless). This one looks like that. I also enjoyed "Riviera: The Promised Land".
I haven't played Fire Emblem though.

Ah this reminds me of old DOS game "Zeliard" which I recently finished a second time (in 2024, first finish was in the 1990s).

Chasm has nice pixel art and decent rogue-lite metroidvania traits, feels good. The Frog Detective series is also great family friendly fun with good writing. Don't expect a ton of depth, though.

BIG note for Asterix games on Steam, the frame rate is bad. You can check this community post for a fix by editing the game's .exe file. https://steamcommunity.com/app/88...080/?ctp=2

EASIER fix: play with a controller. Using controller instead of M+KB seems to clear up the frame rate issue, no clue how or why this works, but it does.

Due to motion sickness issue, I cannot play first person shooters, and my gaming preference is turn based strategy. Here is what I picked up from this bundle:

Monster Slayers would replace Uurnog Uurnlimited on the list above, but I already own it.

I came to also recommend Chasm at this price, but it looks like it's already received several tips of the hat. With that said, Dead Cells takes the roguelike metroidvania concept to the next level and if you played that, going back to Chasm is a bit rough.
