I love my whirly pop. Use it every weekend. Two tablespoons coconut oil, 1/2 tsp flavacol popcorn seasoning, and 1/3 cup corn. Just like the movie theater.

I used to use this but got rid of it because of kitchen space and have been using a wok since. No difference. So if you already have a wok with a lid, I didn't think you're getting anything you can't already do. Great product if you have the space and don't have another alternative though.

Shhhhhhh. Don't spill the beans about coconut oil and FLAVOCOL. That's the super secret recipe.

I swear my jug expired in 2018 and I'm still using it.

For regular popcorn yes any pot or wok will work but for kettle corn this is unrivaled. The agitator really helps it not burn.

most often, I rinse the lid while it's still warm then I give a quick wipe inside the pot with a paper towel. I'll do a good washing about every 5 batches.

Movie theaters (if any of them still pop their own) pop batches upon batches before any kind of cleaning.

The whirly pop is one of very few unitaskers I'll allow in my kitchen. It's just that good.

Same. I keep meaning to check if it goes bad, but I don't want to actually find out what's in it.

I got the equivalent of this at Aldi for $10. Does this one also use the plastic gears?

Agreed, I use this one to pop popcorn in the microwave.

Use to use one of those silicone popcorn popper, but it's super annoying to clean. Imagine cleaning a ziplock bag, that's how annoying cleaning a flimsy silicone bowl.

Glass bowl I imagine works too I'm sure if people are afraid of plastic. But it'd be hard to find a vented lid.
