TAP has a Stopover program [flytap.com] for staying over 1-10 days in Portugal.
You can do Lisbon -and- Barcelona together.

For example, I'm seeing $437 for a 22-day trip - SFO-Barcelona with a 10-day stopover in Lisbon.

TAP is the worst airline I haven't flown with. They canceled our family's Chicago-Lisbon-Rome flight hours before takeoff, simply emailing "Unfortunately TAP was unable to find alternatives for your flight." We had to scramble to find another airline (or risk losing our entire 2-week trip).

It took a month and a half for TAP to issue any refunds, and even then they were only partial refund because hours after canceling (and well after we bought replacement tickets with another airline), they tried to offer us an alternate flight through Munich.

We met other travelers who explained "TAP" really stands for "Take Another Plane."

Buyer beware...

The islands of Ibiza and Mallorca are just a $30 round trip flight from Barcelona. Plenty of 4 star hotels under $100 per night during that date range.

Also many cool and more affordable cities you can jump on a train to like Bilbao and Valencia
